What is This?

When I started playing WOTR the information about the special Lich path companions (called Grave Guards) was fairly thin and spread out all over the web. I couldn't even find pictures or stats of some of the companions. With the help of several wonderful users on Reddit (shout out to /u/EtheusProm) and lots of Google-fu I've managed to piece together this guide. The plan is to eventually update other sources, including wikis like Fextralife, to make this information more widely available. Until then, enjoy everything here in one place!

Unlock Lich Mythic Path

1. In Act 2, at Leper's Smile obtain the Wand of Zacharius - after Queen Bug in left-most wing of the underground cave
2. In Act 2, at The Lost Chapel, give the wand back to Zacharius - hidden door right of the glowing statue at the mountain peak
3. At the end of Act 2 in Drezen you'll obtain Mythic Rank 3 which begins your journey towards becoming a Lich
4. In act 3, construct your Ziggurat and Pillar of Skulls (see below), then begin recruiting undead companions
5. In Act 5 you'll begin the quest to become a true Lich (tips for earning Zacharius' respect)

Construct the Pillar of Skulls

This is required in order to raise many of these companions from the dead.
